Currently seeking multiple Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operators for 1st and 2nd shift opportunities in Summerville, SC. The ideal candidate will ideally possess previous stand-up forklift (e.g., reach, turret truck) experience.
Details on available shifts:
First shift:
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Monday to Friday
- Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (or start at 5:00 AM if working overtime)
Second shift:
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Schedule runs Sunday to Thursday
- Sunday hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (or end at 6:30 PM if working overtime)
- Monday to Thursday hours are 4:00 PM to 12:30 PM (or end at 2:30 AM if working overtime)
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Worker
- Load, unload and stage skids and freight
- Ensure accurate freight inventory w/ help of handheld scanning technology
- Coordinate the correct and efficient loading of trailers
- Spend a large part of the time operating reach, deep reach, turret truck and other forklifts
- Recoup /repair pallets/freight as needed
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items. Operate adequate merchandise management tools
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
- Dock platform/apron/ trailer/ yard/ warehouse cleanliness. Perform proper forklift inspection
Qualifications of the Warehouse Worker
- The company will certify you. Previous forklift certification is not necessary
- Previous stand-up forklift experience (e.g., reach truck, turret truck) is helpful
- Ability to perform freight and pallet handling duties safely with a fork-truck
- Must be comfortable working on a team as an individual contributor and self-starter. Ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team
- Must have good physical agility and the ability to learn new things and absorb information
- Good organizational and time-management skills. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Problem solver

Compensation of the Warehouse Worker
- The base pay for this role is $17.50 / hr on 1st shift. There is a $0.50 / hr shift differential if working 2nd shift for $18.00 / hr in total. Plenty of overtime is available
